Shipping to countries that cannot be selected

If you would like shipping to another country that is not available in the shop, please email us at service@laka-tools.de and include the item, quantity, and delivery address, including the country and postal code. We will let you know shortly whether we can ship to the country you requested and, if applicable, provide the shipping costs. In this case, we will first check the shipping options and costs with our shipping partner.


Shipping to the USA

We’re delighted to ship our products directly to the USA! To ensure a smooth and transparent shipping process, all deliveries to the United States are handled by UPS under the terms FCA (Free Carrier).

What does FCA mean for you?

FCA means that we carefully pack your order and hand it over to our shipping partner UPS at our warehouse. Once it has been handed over, the risk during transport passes to you. UPS then safely transports the package across the ocean directly to your home.

Customs duties, fees and taxes (the $800 rule)

As you are officially importing goods into the USA, your order may be subject to local import regulations depending on its total value:

  • Orders under USD 800: Good news! In most cases, shipments with a total value under USD 800 are subject to no customs duties or taxes (de minimis rule). Your package will be delivered straight to your door without any further steps.

  • Orders over USD 800: If your order exceeds USD 800, U.S. Customs will charge import duties and taxes.

Here’s what happens after your purchase:

  1. Tracking: Once UPS has taken possession of your package, you will receive a tracking link by email.

  2. Customs clearance (if > USD 800): If fees apply, UPS will act as your customs broker. UPS will contact you directly by email or text message and send you a secure link to pay the import fees online.

  3. Delivery: Once the fees have been paid (or if your order was under USD 800), UPS will deliver the package to your address.

Please note: Any import duties, local taxes, or shipping carrier processing fees (brokerage fees) for orders over USD 800 are the sole responsibility of the recipient and cannot be refunded by us.
